As the new Treasurer, I am happy to inform you that the financial status of IDS is sound. I wish to thank my predecessor, George Eisenbarth, for effective handling of the finances of the Society. Please pay your membership fee for year 2002 before the end of April if possible. The fee has remained unchanged $ 50 including either Diabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews or Clinical Immunology and $ 120 including both journals). You can find the Membership Renewal Form here. The fee can be paid with three alternative methods listed in preferred order:
	Credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Eurocard). Please note that American Express can not be used any longer.
	Bank transfer directly to the bank account at Nordea Bank, Helsinki, Finland given on the form. Please use the swift code (MRITFIHH) to speed up the transfer.
	Check made payable to IDS. This alternative is the least preferred one, since it is associated with extra cost for both the sender and the receiver. I wish you all the best for year 2002 and look forward to serving the Society and its members to the best of my capacity.
